How to turn off auto-dialing
Recently, every time my wife starts her computer (a Dell Dimension 4100 using Windows ME) it automatically dials-up and connects to our ISP, Earthlink. It didn't use to do this, and we can't figure out how to turn this auto-dialing off. We use Internet Explorer and Outlook Express v. 6.0, but the auto-dial simply connects without going to either her internet home page of mail window. We are not on DSL or cable, but conventional dial-up to a local connection to Earthlink. Can anyone tell me how to stop this annoyance?

Dear war1: implementing your recommendation to check "never dial a connection" did the trick! Thanks very much, Steinmul.
