XP incoming connections scheduling

Hi,

I have just switched on incoming connections on windows XP home edition. My computer is on my one and only home phone line. This means anyone trying to ring anyone in the house will get an earfull of noise. Can I schedual Incomming Conections so that they can only be recieved in a certain time frame. (maby some software) Or is there another way to allow the phone line to be used for incoming phone calls as well.

Thanks
John Cleary.

The number of rings to answer on is determined by changing the following value in the Registry:

\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SYSTEM\ CurrentControlSet\ Services\ RasMan\ Parameters

Add the following REG_DWORD value: NumberOfRings

The value should be the number of rings that RAS auto-answers after.

Not tried it yet but I have been looking for this solution too.

Thanks for the advice. Must look into that. The thing is I was hoping to keep the rings to a minimum. Is there any third party dial in software If there was im sure you could schedual when the software is to run.
